Trips and Residentials
Educational trips and residentials provide safe opportunities for children to learn outside the classroom, develop important life skills, and they bring their classroom learning to life. These experiences are designed to complement the curriculum and enhance the children's learning in a fun and engaging way.
We understand the importance of caregivers and parental involvement in our trips and residentials, so we provide detailed information about each trip, including the itinerary, activities, and safety measures in place.
Day visits and internal workshops
Day visits and internal workshops are one of many ways for children to gain knowledge on topics taught in our curriculum, while engaging with their local community. We provide a range of activities to our pupils which enrich their learning.

Residentials
In the Autumn term, Year 6 visits Skern Lodge Outdoor Activity Centre in Bideford, Devon, for a 5-day, 4-night residential experience. Skern Lodge offers a wide range of exciting outdoor and coastal activities, including high ropes, crabbing, bodyboarding, coastal traversing, kayaking, rafting, and archery, providing pupils with unforgettable adventures and team-building opportunities.
New for 2026, Year 4 will attend a 3-day, 2-night residential trip to Youlbury Action and Adventure Centre in rural Oxfordshire. Youlbury offers a fantastic range of outdoor activities, including a sensory trail, orienteering, shelter building, climbing incline, low ropes, abseiling, outdoor cooking, and campfires. This trip is the perfect opportunity for pupils to develop new skills, build confidence, and enjoy the experience of being away from home.
