Uniform
We do not restrict the choices available by gender or by season, but we do ask families to ensure children are dressed smartly, in the correct uniform.
Most items can be bought from any shop. Starred items (*) are available at our supplier partner MyClothing.
Do ensure all items are clearly labelled with your child’s name to minimise loss, confusion and distress to your child.
Any combination of the following
School Uniform (All Year Round) Children should wear:- Red polo shirt with school emblem
- Navy school jumper or cardigan with school emblem
- Grey trousers, skirt, or skort (skirts should be an appropriate, modest length for school)
- Grey, white, or navy socks
Summer Uniform:
Worn from the return after the Easter holidays until the start of October half term. In warmer months, children may also wear:
- Red and white gingham dress
- Grey shorts
- Navy cap (optional)
Winter Uniform:
Worn from the return after October half term until the start of the Easter holidays. In colder months, children should continue to wear the standard uniform outlined above, with additional warm clothing as appropriate:
- Navy beanie hats, or other plain and practical outdoor clothing suitable for cold weather.
- Reception children will need a warm, waterproof coat, as much of the curriculum is delivered outdoors.
- Children should be appropriately dressed unless weather conditions are exceptionally severe.
Physical Education Kit

- Red polo shirt with school emblem
- Navy school jumper or cardigan with school emblem * or Leavers hoodie (Year 6 only) Navy sweatshirt or fleece
- Navy shorts & navy tracksuit bottoms (no leggings / skins / underlayers)
- Grey, white, or navy socks
- Trainers suitable for physical activity should be worn; lace-up boots are not permitted
All children should wear PE Kit to school on their allocated PE days. Do ensure your child has spare PE kit to change into in case they get wet at break/lunchtime.
Please note that plimsolls are not part of the PE uniform. When children participate in gym, movement or dance indoors, they should do this in bare feet unless there are medical reasons not to. All outdoor activities require the children to wear trainers.
Shoes
All children must wear plain black, flat school shoes. Shoes should be free from flashing lights, decorations, or attachments. For Reception children, Velcro fastenings (rather than laces) are strongly recommended to support independence.
Trainers are not permitted for everyday wear and should only be worn on PE days or for outdoor learning activities when specifically requested.
Jewellery, watches and hair
All jewellery should be removed and earrings covered with tape for PE lessons. Watches should be removed and long hair should be tied back.
Bags
Please provide your child with a small rucksack for spare PE kit but avoid drawstring bags as they can cause trips and can get caught in spokes of bikes if cycling to school.
We are phasing out the use of book bags across all year groups and, in the future, the school rucksacks will not contain the logo. The small rucksacks which are available from M&S are the ideal size for children in Reception in particular. Other children in older year groups can use a rucksack of their choice but appropriate to the child’s size.
Water bottle
We know that children are better able to concentrate and learn when they stay well hydrated throughout the day. All children should bring a clearly named water bottle to school each day, filled with fresh water from home, for use in the classroom. To promote healthy hydration, we ask that water bottles contain water only and do not include squash, cordial, fruit juice, fizzy drinks, or other beverages. Water bottles should be taken home each day to be washed and refilled ready for the following school day.
Weather protection
When the weather dictates, please apply a long lasting sun cream to your child before school and ensure they have a sunhat to wear.
Coats
Ensure your child has a suitable waterproof coat or jacket, waterproof trousers, gloves and a warm hat in school at all times, so that they can learn and play outdoors.
Wellington boots
For Reception children, please ensure that your child has a pair of named wellington boots for them to use throughout the school year in Reception.
Please ensure all items brought into school are clearly named.
