Admissions
Families do not pay fees at our school, as we are a state primary school.
When do I apply for a school place?
You must apply for a primary school place one year before your child can start school, when your child is three or has just turned four.
Applications are administered by Reading Borough Council and close on 15 January every year. Offer of places will be issued on 16 April 2026 for the September 2026 start.
Note: If you have siblings already enrolled at our school, you are still required to apply for a place.
How to apply
Families need to apply online through the Reading Borough Council website, Brighter Futures for Children. You'll need to create an account.
Our In-year transfers are managed by Brighter Futures for Children, and applications should be made directly to them. They will be able to advise if a place is available. Read more here.
Admissions Policy
Admissions Policy 2026-27.pdfWaiting list
Unsuccessful applicants (including any late applications) will be included on the Reading Borough Council's waiting list, who manages them. Please note that our school has no control or influence over the management of the waiting list.
A child’s position on the waiting list can go down as well as up. For example, if a new application is received or if a child on the list moves nearer to the school, the waiting list will need to be revised. The offer of a place does not depend on the length of time your child’s name has been on the waiting list. Waiting lists will be held by the school for one school year after the year of entry.
Appeal
Our school is oversubscribed and not all applications will be successful. If you are not successful, you have the right to appeal with an independent panel. All appeals are managed by Reading Borough Council: you can read more and submit an appeal here.
