About the Heights Primary School

The Heights Primary is a new, Government funded, non-selective, highly inclusive primary school for the Caversham Heights / Mapledurham area. The school opened in September 2014 with 2 reception classes and Year 1 in response to an  increasing need for Primary School places in West Caversham.  It is growing organically, with 2 new reception classes of 25 children per class joining every year and will reach its full capacity of 350 children across reception to Year 6 in 2020.

The school is currently located on a temporary site on Gosbrook Road and will remain there until late Autumn 2020. The school’s expansions in November 2015 and August 2018 has offered us a greater range of facilities including classrooms, a Key Stage 2 hall, small group rooms and an artificially turfed outdoor play area.  All of which is helping the children to continue to thrive.
