A Mindful Christmas

Dear families,

If you are stuck for a last minute Christmas gift idea, you may want to consider a mindfulness book to support your child’s emotional literacy.

Breathing Makes it Better: A book for sad days, mad days, glad days and all the feelings in between by Christopher Willard and Wendy O’Leary.

Or you can find other recommendations on the Book Trust website.

Best wishes,

A Therapeutic Blog to help Parents, Teachers and other Professionals

Dear Families,

Please find a link below to a new therapeutic blog being run by two experienced play therapists.   Parents, teachers and professionals are encouraged to send Yasmeen and Tash emails with their questions or concerns and they will use their expertise to suggest strategies to help.

The aim is simply a space to explore issues/dilemmas that we may be experiencing with our young ones.

GOSH Good Sleep Hygiene

Hello families,

Many of the families that I support have communicated to me that their children’s sleep behaviour has changed during Lockdown.  This is understandable however research shows that poor sleep negatively impacts behaviour and emotional regulation.  Therefore I wanted to direct families to the Great Ormond Street website where there are lots of top tips for establishing good sleep hygiene.

I hope this is helpful.

Take lots of care,

Mrs Mullaney

If you have additional concerns about your child’s return to school, please do let me know so that we can carefully plan their return together.

Kindest regards,
